Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi has officially announced the launch of his first-ever international youth football tournament \u2014 the \u2018Messi Cup.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament will take place in South Florida from December 9 to 14, bringing together eight top clubs from around the world \u2014 Inter Miami, Barcelona, Manchester City, River Plate, Inter Milan, Newell\u2019s Old Boys, Atl\u00e9tico Madrid, and Chelsea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group Stage and Final at Chase Stadium<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will feature 18 matches, divided into two groups. Teams will compete in a round-robin format during the first three days, followed by playoffs, a third-place match, and the grand final to be played at Chase Stadium in Miami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Announcing the event on Instagram, Messi said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Messi\u2019s company, 525 Rosario, stated that the tournament aims to \u201cshape the future of the game\u201d and foster long-term connections among players, communities, and global brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
