Kathmandu \u2013 Spanish club Barcelona kicked off the new season of the UEFA Champions League with a 2\u20131 victory over England\u2019s Newcastle United in the group stage opener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both goals for Barcelona were scored by young striker Marcus Rashford, who joined the club on loan from Manchester United. This marked Rashford\u2019s first competitive goals for his new team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rashford opened the scoring in the 58th minute with a header from a cross delivered by Jules Kound\u00e9. He then added a second goal in the 67th minute with a powerful strike, giving Barcelona a comfortable lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
