Kathmandu, Sept 19 \u2013 The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has announced that the first-ever SAFF Women\u2019s Club Championship will be held in Nepal from December 5 to 20. A total of five clubs from across South Asia will take part in this historic competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the official statement released on Friday, the participating clubs include APF Club from Nepal, East Bengal from India, Transport United from Bhutan, Karachi City from Pakistan, and Nasrin Sports Academy from Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks the first time SAFF is organizing a women\u2019s club-level football tournament, a move described as a \u201chistoric step\u201d towards promoting and professionalizing women\u2019s football in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials from SAFF stated that the tournament will not only provide international exposure to female footballers but also create a new platform for clubs to showcase their talent at a higher competitive level. The event is expected to attract significant attention as many national team players will feature for their respective clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Nepal, the APF Club will represent the host nation and is anticipated to gain strong support from home fans. Football analysts believe the championship will be closely contested, given the rich history and rising standard of women\u2019s football across South Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preparations for the tournament are already underway, with the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) coordinating with SAFF to ensure proper management of venues, logistics, and accommodation.
