
Kathmandu, September 18 – West Indies have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Nepal, scheduled to be held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, later this month. The Caribbean side will be led by left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein, who has been appointed captain of the relatively young squad.

The series, set to begin two weeks from now, marks an important contest for both teams as Nepal continue to build momentum in international cricket while West Indies look to test fresh talent on the global stage. Notably, six players in the announced squad are set to make their T20I debut, signaling a new era of experimentation and future planning by the West Indies Cricket Board.
Among the announced names, Akeal Hosein is the only first-choice player from the main West Indies setup, underlining the management’s intention to provide international exposure to emerging talents. Senior all-rounder Jason Holder and opener Kyle Mayers add vital experience to the squad, expected to guide the newcomers during the tour.
