December 3, Kathmandu — Manchester City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has reached the milestone of 100 Premier League goals.
Haaland scored in City’s 5–4 win over Fulham last night, taking his Premier League tally to a record-breaking 100 goals.
He achieved the feat in just 111 appearances, making him the fastest player in history to do so. Previously, Alan Shearer reached 100 goals in 124 matches and Harry Kane did so in 141 matches. Haaland, however, shattered the record with only 111 games.
Haaland made his Premier League debut in August 2022, scoring twice against West Ham. Since then, he has been consistently prolific. He won the Golden Boot in back-to-back seasons—scoring 36 goals in 2022/23 and 27 goals in 2023/24.
Fulham have also become one of Haaland’s favourite opponents. He has scored seven goals against them so far. He also has 10 goals against Wolves, nine against West Ham, and eight against Manchester United.
This season too, Haaland leads the scoring chart with 15 goals. Across all competitions for club and country, he has netted 32 goals in just 23 appearances.
In September, he also became the fastest player to reach 50 goals in the UEFA Champions League.
