Announcing the event on Instagram, Messi said:
“This tournament is more than just football — it’s an opportunity for the next generation to showcase their talent. We’ll have exciting events and activities as well. This is the Messi Cup.”
Messi’s company, 525 Rosario, stated that the tournament aims to “shape the future of the game” and foster long-term connections among players, communities, and global brands.
“A Bridge Between Today’s Stars and Tomorrow’s Players”
Tim Pastore, CEO of 525 Rosario, added:
“The Messi Cup is a meeting point between today’s stars and tomorrow’s players. It’s a celebration of talent, culture, and community.”
