
Kathmandu, Oct 11 – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a vacancy for the position of Head Coach of the Nepal Women’s National Cricket Team, aiming to appoint a qualified foreign coach ahead of upcoming international tournaments.
According to CAN’s Secretary Paras Khadka, the decision to hire a foreign coach has been made with a focus on improving team performance and preparing for major upcoming events.
“We have opened the vacancy to appoint a foreign coach for the women’s national team,” Khadka told Online Khabar. “The appointment is targeted for the Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier and the U-19 Women’s World Cup Qualifier.”

As per the vacancy notice, applicants must possess an ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) or CA (Cricket Australia) Level-3 coaching certification, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates must also have at least five years of professional coaching experience at the elite level.
The newly appointed coach will be responsible for enhancing team performance, leading the support staff, and working on long-term talent identification and development programs. Candidates are expected to have a sound understanding of cricket culture, women’s cricket structures, and strong communication skills in English. Preference will be given to those familiar with Nepalese and Associate-level cricket.
The selected coach will receive full board accommodation, a competitive salary, and travel allowances while in Nepal. Interested candidates are required to submit their CV and portfolio by October 25, 2025.
Nepal’s women’s team is set to participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier to be held in Nepal in January 2026, and CAN views this appointment as a key step toward building a stronger and more competitive side.
