Indu Barma and Rubina Chhetri Lead Nepal to 6-Wicket Win Over Malaysia, Series Levelled 2–2

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – A composed and experienced batting display from Indu Barma and Rubina Chhetri guided the Nepal women’s cricket team to a convincing six-wicket victory over Malaysia in the fourth T20 International on Tuesday. With the win, Nepal have levelled the five-match T20I series 2–2, setting up a thrilling decider.

Batting first at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia posted a competitive total of 111 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Nepal chased down the target comfortably in 17.3 overs, finishing at 115/4 — with Indu hitting the winning boundary.

Indu Barma remained unbeaten on 48 runs off 39 balls, anchoring the chase with poise and control. Rubina Chhetri provided excellent support, scoring an unbeaten 23 off 23 deliveries. Earlier, Kabita Kunwar had contributed a handy 16 runs from 26 balls at the top of the order. Other contributors included Rubi Poddar (5), Samjhana Khadka (11), and Puja Mahato (7).

For Malaysia, Mas Elysa was the standout performer with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 56 off 63 balls. She was supported by Mahirah Izzati Ismail (18 off 21) and Noor Dania Syuhada (15 off 15).

Nepal’s bowling attack was led by Kabita Kunwar, who was exceptional with figures of 3 wickets for just 10 runs in her four overs. Puja Mahato and Kabita Joshi chipped in with a wicket apiece.

With the series now tied 2–2, both teams will head into the fifth and final T20I with everything to play for. The winner of the next match will take home the series trophy.
