West Ham Hold Everton 1–1 in Nuno Espírito Santo’s First Game in Charge

Kathmandu, Sept 30 .
In the English Premier League, West Ham earned a valuable point in their first match under new manager Nuno Espírito Santo, holding Everton to a 1–1 draw on Monday night.

Match Summary

Everton made a bright start at home, taking the lead in the 18th minute through Michael Keane’s goal. The Toffees looked in control for much of the first half, but West Ham grew into the game after the break.

In the 65th minute, Jarrod Bowen equalized for the Hammers with a crucial strike that not only denied Everton victory but also secured a morale-boosting point in Nuno’s debut match in charge.

League Standings

The draw moved Everton to eight points, placing them in 8th position in the table. West Ham, however, remain in the relegation zone with just four points from seven matches, sitting 19th. This was only the second time this season that West Ham have avoided defeat.

Fresh Start Under Nuno

Following the departure of David Moyes, the appointment of Nuno Espírito Santo has been seen as the beginning of a new chapter for West Ham. While the team’s league position is still concerning, fans are hopeful that Nuno’s experience and tactical approach will guide the Hammers away from the relegation battle in the coming weeks.
